The Islamic Center of Maryland (ICM) is a non-profit organization with an operational philosophy based on the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muslim families who visit the ICM facilities work towards fulfilling their religious obligations and striving for spiritual, intellectual, social and economic well-being and advancement. Imam Kamil Mufti at ICM
Friday August 25 - Sunday August 27
 
Educated at the University of Texas at Austin, he devoted himself to years of the
study of Aqeeda, tafsir, hadith, fiqh, and the Arabic language that took him from the
deserts of Mauritania to the dusty streets of Cairo. He is a member AMJA, NAIF
and is board member of Central IL Interfaith Alliance. He has been recognized by
ACLU for clarifying difference between hate, freedom of speech, and freedom of
religion. His civil rights efforts culminated by the passing of the resolution against
Islamophobia by his home city in IL in July, 2016. He was invited to the President's
National Prayer Breakfast in Feb 2017 by the US Congress.
