*** STATUS UPDATE AS OF April 11, 2013 ***
Storm Water Management (SWM) System & Site Development:
With ground breaking on May 13, 2012 implementation of the SWM System (pond, sand-fliter, and related items) has been progressing forward with more than half of it completed. The completion date of the entire work (SWM plus Site Development) was in October 2012. However, this deadline was missed due to delays related to weather as well as in getting County's approval for some of the concrete structures for the SWM System. Since then, significant progress has been made towards implementing the pond and the sand-filter. Unfortunately, since mid-December 2012, the work has come to a stop due to inclement weather that has left the ground conditions unworkable for any heavy machinery and vehicles. By the grace of Almighty (SWT), the work has resumed with full speed. Sand-filter is being completed, drainage lines are being installed, and grading is continuing. Work on clearing the back area will start soon as well. We project that all work for SWM and Site Development will finish by June.
Please note that no additional cost has been incurred due to any delays encountered so far.
Building Design:
Completed building design documents (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) were accepted for review by the Department of Permitting Services (DPS) on January 23, 2013. Soon after the acceptance, DPS reviewers held a meeting with ICM's design team on February 13 to inform them of some important issues that needed to be addressed before the formal review could initiate. Currently, ICM's design team (Architect, Structural, and MEP Engineers) are working on resolving the comments. ICM has been given until March 13 to re-submit the revised package. A revised package was taken to DPS on March 13. However, after a careful review by the DPS staff, ICM was granted another extension until April 13 to fix a couple of code related issues on the drawings. ICM's design team is in the process of addressing these items. The revised plans were successfully submitted to DPS on Wednesday April 10. The permit application is now set for full formal review. The review and approval process can take up to 4-6 months.

Brothers and Sisters, remember that no prayer, amount, and effort are too little to help this dream come true. All of us have to meet Allah (SWT) one day. If we complete this project for the pleasure of Allah, it will be a testimony of our faith, devotion, and dedication to Islam and Muslims. As long as ICM exists, as long as prayers are offered, learning of Qur’an and Sunnah continues, Dawah spreads, the needy among us are served, and beneficial services are provided to both Muslims and people of other faith in the area, it will insha Allah benefit our souls in the form of Sadaqah Jariyah or continuous charity.
But that’s not all; a completed ICM will be our greatest gift for generations to come. You will be part of raising new generations of Muslims who will be informed and balanced, who will have piety, wisdom, excellent character, and skills to benefit not only our community but the community at large. Let us make the completion of ICM Master Plan as one of our personal goals in life.
Jazakum Allah Khair for your time and attention.
