 Iftaar at ICM

Every year ICM organizes Iftaar/Dinner at the Masjid. The community is welcome to participate by donating money or signing-up to bring food. Everyone (including non-Muslims) is invited for dinner at the Masjid.
Our beloved prophet (saw) said: "Whoever gives food to a fasting person with which to break fast, will have a reward equal to his, without it detracting in the slightest from the reward of the fasting person" (Ahmed and Tirmidhi)

ICM's Ramadan Committee thanks all brothers and sisters who supported the Iftaar program with their generous donations and who made the effort to bring food for the fasting brothers and sisters. Our dedicated group of volunteers - brothers and sisters, who inspite of their busy schedules, show up every day to set-up, serve and cleanup. Your reward is with Allah. Jazaakum Allaahu Khairan.

Monthly Islamic Lecture Series

Islam 101
Place: ICM Library
When: Sunday September 12th, 2010 (Second Sunday of every month)
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Topics: Basics of Islamic Belief (Aqeeda), Basic Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Quranic and Hadith topics and more.
Who should attend: Those studying Middle Eastern culture & history, new Muslims and any person of other faith interested to learn the basics of Islam.
Refreshments will be served.

International Food Festival  top

International Food Festival

ICM is pleased to once again host the International Food Festival & Bazaar this year on Saturday, October 2nd, from 11am to 3pm.
The festival will include booths representing cultures throughout the Muslim world from Senegal to Indonesia, showcasing the richness and diversity in our foods, clothing, and handicrafts.
 
In order to make this event a success, we look to the community to volunteer in representing their ethnic backgrounds by setting up a country booth with food or handicrafts.  If you would like to help volunteer or are a vendor please visit the following link.

ICM Weekend Islamic School  top

ICM Weekend Islamic School Registration

Insha Allah, the registration for the ICM Weekend Islamic School starts on Sunday August 29:

1. Open registration Sunday September 5, 10 AM to 1:00 PM

2. NO registration Sunday September 12 - Eid ul Fitr holiday

3. First day of school Sunday September 19 - Registration continues. Last day to register - Sunday October 3.

Tuition for One: $155; Two: $235; Three or more: $315. Limited financial aid is available and must be applied for in person.

ALL registrations are on a first come first serve basis. NO MAIL IN REGISTRATIONS. Visit the School Registration page for details.

Please note that grades KG to 3 fill in the first two days of registration.

My First Fast   top

"My First Fast"

In order to encourage and appreciate our children, ICM is requesting parents to submit names of children who (1) fasted for the very first time
(2) fasted the whole month for the very first time.
They will be awarded a gift and a Certificate of Achievement titled, (1) "My First Saum" and (2) “My First Month of Siyam”. Category (2) has an age limit of 12.

Please submit your child's name, age and parent’s name. If your child falls under the “First Fast” category, then please give the date of the first fast. Gifts and certificates will be distributed on Sunday September 12th at the Eid Fair/Potluck at ICM insha Allah. You must be present to collect the gifts.
