About Membership and Dues
- ICM has the following types of memberships per the BOT-approved ICM Membership Policy.
- Individual Membership: Any Muslim, 18 years of age or older, and residing in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area, can become a member upon paying the membership dues. This individual membership entitles him or her to one vote in the General Body Meeting. Individual Membership dues are $50 per calendar year.
- Family Membership: Any Muslim family residing in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area can become a member upon paying the membership dues. This family membership entitles the husband and wife to two votes (one vote each) in the General Body Meeting. Family Membership dues are $100 per calendar year.
ICM Membership Portal
- ICM Membership Portal is an online system that will allow current members to login to their accounts, review and update their information and renew their membership. It will also allow non-members to submit his/her request to become new members. You may access the portal at https://portal.icomd.org/login.
Become a New Member
- To become a new member, please visit the ICM membership portal, and click on “Create new account.”
Renew Your Membership
- To renew your membership, please login to the ICM membership portal. Once you are successfully logged in, from the dashboard click on the “Register Now” button as shown below and follow the steps:

Update Your Membership Records
- To update your information (address, phone, email, etc.) please login to the ICM membership portal and you will be able to edit your profile.
Voting Members for General Body Meeting
- To be eligible to vote in the General Body (GB) Meeting or in the election of trustees, an individual or a family must be a current active ICM member for at least the last 12 months (i.e. 365 days prior to the day of the election.)
- Additionally, an individual who reaches the age of 18 and attains an individual membership and whose parents held an ICM family membership the prior year, shall be entitled to vote in the General Body (GB) meeting.
- To be eligible to be nominated for the election of trustees, an individual must be a current ICM member for at least the last 2 years (i.e. 730 days prior to the day of the election.)
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I didn’t receive an email to access ICM Portal.
A: We might not have your valid email address. Please send an email with your complete name, phone number, and address to member.services@icomd.org. We will find your record and get back to you.
Q: I accidentally deleted the welcome email to access the portal. What should I do?
A: Please go to the login page and use this link “Having trouble logging-in?”. If the system has your email address you will receive an email to reset your password.
Q: I forgot my password to the membership portal. What should I do?
A: Go to the login page of the portal and click on the link “Having trouble logging-in?”. Provide your email address and the system will email you with a link to reset your password.
Q: Do you have my spouse information in the online system or do I have to type her information when I renew my family membership?
A: Your spouse information is already imported into the new membership portal. Please click on the checkbox “Include a submember” and the link “Choose Existing Contacts” shown below:
Q: I used to be a member in the past but I have not renewed my membership for the last two years. What is my membership status now and how do I access my account?
A: You will need to complete a new membership application.
Q: I am not able to pay the new membership fees because of financial hardship. What are my options?
A: Please send an email to member.services@icomd.org and will send you a discount code that will give you 50% off on membership fees. You can use that code when completing your registration/ renewal online.
Q: What is the term of ICM membership?
A: Membership is based on the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.
Q: Why am I being asked to upload my photo ID?
A: To prevent the creation of fraudulent accounts, we are requiring all ICM members to provide a valid photo ID and email address upon registration.
Q: I don’t know how to upload my driver’s license to the ICM portal?
A: Please contact the ICM office administrator. They will be able to walk you through the process on the phone or schedule an in-person meeting with you.
Q: How do I know if I am eligible to vote during this year’s general body meeting?
A: If you became a new member or renewed your membership 30 days before last year’s GB meeting and renewed your membership 30 days before this year’s GB meeting, you are eligible to vote this year. If you want to be sure, you can send a quick email to ICM Member Services and we will clarify your voting status for you.
